What hot pink everywhere?

Do you have one of those teenagers who is in bright colors. This teen wanted bright pink walls and everything else in pink. Way to much pink for sure. Okay start with a bed spread with pinks in it. Curtains pink with touch of white lace to give a girls touch. She just loved the fluffy pink tie backs to break up the color. When i went shopping i was price shocked that one panel is $10-20. Ouch my pocket hurts. Back to the fabric store total price for the two windows total $20.00. Saving oh yeah. Now I can work on her lamp with touch of lace and pink. For the posters well that needs to be organized. Got my hands full in this room lol. Will post final pictures when done.

Decorate for the day sleeper

If you work third shift and need to sleep. The question is: How do you keep the room dark? This room was to much to paint and yet needed color. This family love dark colors of blue, browns, green, black. So I hand made her blanket by crocheting a granny square in tan with little spot of red, black and blue. Trim half way is dark brown and trimmed at end black. I started looking for curtains till I dropped. I tried all kinds of material and it didn't go with this bedroom. Then I found some material I never would dream to get. These curtains are tapestry. What awesome design and color in it. I just could not resist. Material is expansive but worth the sleep. The room looks awesome and they love it. Easy to clean. Just vacuum the material. Price $200 for curtains material.

Country or contemporary?

This room looks elegant and yet a touch of country. The idea of this room is to keep the cold out and yet dress the windows. The walls on top is light blue and bottom touch of white and blue. I started with dark blue panels which darkened the area and brought out the blue on the wall. Now with white lace valances on top it helped to soften the dark blue. The white panels inside helps bring more of the curtain out. Needed three rods for the two windows. This one of my favorite windows note on the panels there are humming birds on it. On the other side of the room there is a sliding door to a porch. I added the white valance to give the room balance. I have so much complements with this room.

Two in one curtain umm?

Okay this room needed my help desperately. Thank goodness I know the owner and her taste. Luckily I had a free couch just for this owner. They we're in my desperate need. Okay got the couch now to decorate. Only one curtain rod no more. Well had to think hard. Need a valance, but also need a longer one to fill the window. Ummm? Okay, well ended up sewing the two in one curtain. Making a valance to match the couch and pillows. Need the green for color to match it. Found the flowers in my old room, cool. Okay made the gold doily for her table. What no pictures okay cost time got to make budget tight. Okay I Painted two abstract pictures for her. Then painted the flower picture that she loved. Thank you job lot drawing section. Okay price time $50. Yahoo to you girl. Just made that budget.

Richey looking curtains

This room needed more color and design in the window. To plain with white for the winter. Plaids, strips and color brings the room to it's riches design. With the valance matching the color of the couch, helps to focus on the main color. The striped curtain panel will balance the gold walls, lamps, pictures and the designs. The white flower prints on the inner panel helps lighten the window to bring the white strips out of the curtains. When the sun hits the panel the flowers look gold. Final touches with stream of roses on top of the valance to add a delicate classic look and the with the gold tie backs. Window curtains hand made was less than $50.

Old fashion country home

This house is 200 years old and in the woods. This was used as barn and not a home. With good hard work and a quick fixer upper. Made this place, as good as home. So when I was thinking of remodeling this home I thought of; "Thinking country". I sure did. White walls and blue splash board, behind the stove, very dull looking. Tried the windows first. Put country chicken curtains at the bottom. Then the valance with red and white checkers. The rest of the material I placed on the door and on the table. Now need more color? Time to paint the walls. The color billowing cloud (blue) is on the wall and red for the chimney. In the dining room I found some chicken nicknacks and a farm picture. Then took the pig nicknacks and placed them on the side shelf to divide the rooms. Now that looks country.

Chair repair or throw out

What a decision do I buy new chairs or keep these? How many would say I need new chairs. Because of the messy kids? Do you have this problem? A little rubber material from the good old fabric store and a staple gun makes the whole scene brand new. From rags to riches, awesome. Six chairs equals to eight yards of material for less than 50 bucks. That's my kind of deal. Makes it look like you bought a whole new kitchen set.

Dining room in the blue

This area was cluttered with books and everything was against one wall. What a clutter. Took books out and placed in master room. The crafts was covered with an awesome old fashion table cloth. After cleaning and rearranging the furniture we took out every little nicknack and pictures we could find. They didn't want to paint the walls. So we concentrated on the windows. Get a look at these curtains. Believe or not they're reversible. In the summer you can turn it and you have flowers on one side and mixed blues with flowers. They can be rolled up or just hang them down to keep the sun or cold out. Easy to make. Table cloth was made with a simple white cloth and left over material making it look like new. The rocking chair was used with it's original pillow and just sewing the matching material to the front side. I went through this room with a fine tooth comb finding beautiful white dishes and small pictures. Put the good stuff out and the other stuff away. Found a carpet in another room and placing under the table. What a transformation the dining room is. One of my big favorite rooms people love. Total price is awesome less than $50. Just got to love it.

Horse lover room

It was easy to please for less money and a short time. Found a horse lamp at a yard sale and material for a horse lover's room. Easy to please a 10 year old child. Not done yet still waiting for the horse stencil to put on the wall and the finish touches of the lamp. Room cost for this was less than $150. Find material at Lorraine's Fabric and the stencil material online. Check out the new horse picture I painted it myself. Made one happy horse love very very happy.
